National Printing Company

Our Story

National Printing Company (NPC) is a leading platform in the printing and packaging industry and a distinguished strategic holding entity across Egypt, Africa, and the MENA region.

Our legacy in the sector began in 1979 with Shourouk Press, established by the El Moallem Family, industry veterans in publishing, printing, and packaging. This foundational enterprise evolved and was formally renamed Modern Shourouk for Printing and Packaging S.A.E. following its listing in 2011.

Group Consolidation

As Shourouk grew, it established its first subsidiary, Windsor, in 2003. This strategic expansion led to the formal establishment of National Printing Company S.A.E. (NPC) in 2005, born from a key partnership with Grandview Investment, to establish a comprehensive printing and packaging platform. By 2006, NPC was fully operational, embarking on a robust strategy of acquisitions and greenfield developments.

NPC strategically acquired entities such as El Baddar and Windsor. Furthermore, it initiated the greenfield establishment of El Motaheda for Paper and Carton (Uniboard) in 2009, which commenced its operations in 2017. This expansion has positioned National Printing Company as one of the largest and most influential printing and packaging players across Egypt, Africa, and the wider MENA region.

Presently, National Printing Company is a holding entity. Our core focus is providing robust strategic oversight, optimizing the financial performance of our group, and fostering powerful synergy across our subsidiaries.
